Mobile Development

Mobile apps built for the people who actually use them.

We build native and cross-platform apps for customers, technicians and operators, with a specialty in companion apps for connected devices: Bluetooth pairing, offline-first data sync and firmware updates from the phone.

Where teams get stuck

The problems we are usually called in for.

Problem 01

The app that only works on Wi-Fi

Field technicians lose signal in basements and plant rooms. The app freezes, the data is lost, the paper form returns.

Problem 02

Bluetooth pairing that fails half the time

Device onboarding is the first thing a customer touches. A flaky pairing flow means returns and support calls.

Problem 03

Two codebases, two roadmaps

Separate iOS and Android teams shipping different features on different dates.

Problem 04

A store listing nobody owns

OS updates break the app, reviews slide, and no one is responsible for the release process.

What we deliver

Capabilities, not buzzwords.

Each of these is a thing we have shipped and supported in production. Ask us for the specifics on a call.

  1. 01

    Native iOS & Android

Swift and Kotlin apps where performance, hardware access or platform fidelity matter most.

  2. 02

    Cross-platform

React Native and Flutter builds that share 90%+ of their code without feeling generic.

  3. 03

    IoT companion apps

BLE provisioning, Wi-Fi onboarding, device control and OTA updates delivered from the phone.

  4. 04

    Offline-first architecture

Local storage, conflict resolution and background sync so the app works with no signal and reconciles when it returns.

  5. 05

    Secure authentication

Biometrics, OAuth/OIDC, device binding and secure-enclave storage.

  6. 06

    Push, maps & payments

Notifications, location, maps and in-app payments integrated properly, not bolted on.

  7. 07

    App store operations

Release automation, phased rollouts, crash monitoring and store listing management.

How it runs

The same five steps, tuned for this practice.

Discovery first, architecture before code, weekly demos, staged deployment and SLA-backed operation.

01

Discover

Two weeks to understand the problem, the constraints and the people. We leave with a written brief, a risk register and a scope you can sign.

02

Architect

System design, security model, data flow and cost estimate, reviewed with your team before anyone writes production code.

03

Build

Weekly demos of working software. Typed, tested, reviewed. You see progress, not status reports.

04

Deploy

Staged rollouts with monitoring in place before launch. Runbooks written. Rollback rehearsed.

05

Operate

SLA-backed support, scheduled improvements and a named engineer who knows the system.

Engagement

Ways to engage this practice.

Fixed-scope project

Defined deliverables, milestones and price. Best for well-understood builds with a clear finish line.

Dedicated team

A cross-functional squad embedded with your product, billed monthly. Best for evolving products and long roadmaps.

Team extension

Senior engineers who join your existing team under your process. Best for capacity and specialist skills.

FAQ

Questions about mobile work.

Native or cross-platform?

If the app leans on hardware APIs, AR or heavy animation, native. If it is mostly forms, lists and data, cross-platform gets you to both stores faster. We recommend based on your roadmap, not our preference.

Can you build the app for our IoT device?

This is our specialty: BLE and Wi-Fi provisioning, real-time device state, OTA updates and the backend that ties it together.

Do you handle app store submission?

Yes, including account setup, review guidelines, privacy manifests and phased rollout.

How do you approach offline support?

Offline-first from the data model up: local-first storage, queued mutations and conflict rules agreed with your team.

Can you maintain an existing app?

Yes. We audit the codebase, stabilize releases and set up CI so updates ship predictably.
