IoT Development
Connected products that survive contact with the real world.
We build the full stack of an IoT product: the firmware on the board, the edge logic beside it, the pipeline that ingests a million messages an hour, and the dashboard your operators actually use. One team, one architecture, no hand-off gaps.

Where teams get stuck
The problems we are usually called in for.
Problem 01
Four vendors, zero owners
Hardware from one shop, firmware from a freelancer, cloud from a third. When the fleet misbehaves at 2am, everyone points sideways.
Problem 02
The prototype that never became a product
A demo on a dev kit is not a device that ships with provisioning, OTA updates, certificate rotation and a five-year support plan.
Problem 03
Data everywhere, insight nowhere
Telemetry lands in a bucket. Nobody built the model layer that turns it into alerts, trends and decisions.
Problem 04
Security bolted on last
Hard-coded credentials, unsigned firmware and open MQTT brokers are how connected products end up in the news.
What we deliver
Capabilities, not buzzwords.
Each of these is a thing we have shipped and supported in production. Ask us for the specifics on a call.
- 01
Embedded firmware
Bare-metal, RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS) and embedded Linux firmware for ARM Cortex-M/A, ESP32, Nordic and STM32 platforms, written for power budgets and field updates.
- 02
Edge computing
On-device inference, local rules engines and store-and-forward buffering so the product keeps working when the network doesn't.
- 03
Connectivity & protocols
MQTT, CoAP, OPC-UA, Modbus, BLE, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT and cellular, chosen for your duty cycle and cost per message, not by habit.
- 04
Provisioning & fleet management
Zero-touch onboarding, per-device identity, certificate lifecycle and fleet-wide configuration on AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub or a self-hosted broker.
- 05
OTA update orchestration
Signed, staged rollouts by cohort with automatic rollback, so a bad release reaches 1% of devices, not 100%.
- 06
Data pipelines & digital twins
Ingest, normalize and model telemetry into a live representation of every asset, ready for analytics and control.
- 07
Predictive maintenance
Anomaly detection and failure prediction trained on your own telemetry, surfaced as actionable alerts rather than dashboards nobody opens.
- 08
Operator dashboards & companion apps
Web and mobile interfaces for the people who install, monitor and service the devices in the field.

How it runs
The same five steps, tuned for this practice.
Discovery first, architecture before code, weekly demos, staged deployment and SLA-backed operation.
01
Discover
Two weeks to understand the problem, the constraints and the people. We leave with a written brief, a risk register and a scope you can sign.
02
Architect
System design, security model, data flow and cost estimate, reviewed with your team before anyone writes production code.
03
Build
Weekly demos of working software. Typed, tested, reviewed. You see progress, not status reports.
04
Deploy
Staged rollouts with monitoring in place before launch. Runbooks written. Rollback rehearsed.
05
Operate
SLA-backed support, scheduled improvements and a named engineer who knows the system.
Engagement
Ways to engage this practice.
Fixed-scope project
Defined deliverables, milestones and price. Best for well-understood builds with a clear finish line.
Dedicated team
A cross-functional squad embedded with your product, billed monthly. Best for evolving products and long roadmaps.
Team extension
Senior engineers who join your existing team under your process. Best for capacity and specialist skills.
FAQ
Questions about iot work.
Do you design hardware as well as software?
We work from your board or select and integrate off-the-shelf modules. For custom PCB and enclosure design we bring in partner electronics engineers we have shipped with before, and we own the integration end to end.
Which cloud platform do you recommend for IoT?
It depends on fleet size, data volume and where the rest of your stack lives. We have deployed on AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub and self-hosted EMQX and Mosquitto clusters, and we model the cost at your scale before recommending one.
How do you handle firmware security?
Secure boot, signed firmware images, per-device X.509 identity, encrypted transport and a documented key-rotation process. Security is part of the architecture phase, not a checklist at the end.
Can you take over an existing IoT product?
Yes. We start with a technical audit of the firmware, cloud and data layers, then agree a stabilization plan before adding features.
What does ongoing support look like?
SLA-backed monitoring of the fleet and cloud, incident response, scheduled firmware releases and a named engineer who knows your system.
